John Jay Graening Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 8, 2020, at the age of 79, John Jay Graening (Prairie Grove, Arkansas), born in Elgin, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval M. Graening and Marie Egoroff Graening. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Crossfield Graening; his sons, Guy Graening (Jen) and Gary Graening (Tommi) of Folsom; his grandchildren, Zachary and Rowan Graening; his sisters, Vicky Harbeck (Bill) of Decatur and Linda Reilly (Robert) of Marblehead, Massachusetts.; and his pets, Sampson, Niki and Scruffy.

In accordance with Jay's wishes, his brain has been donated to help in Alzheimer's research.
