He is survived by: his son Eric S. Burkett; his wife Sue; his stepchildren, Jimmy Beeson and Dora Odom; his sister Jeanie Ward; and his niece Alene Walkington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and many friends.
