He was predeceased by: his parents, Dee Jackson Hatch and John Hatch; and his sister Sally Dee Clark. He is survived by: his son Connor of Farmington, AR; his wife Pauleen Hill Hatch of Prairie Grove, AR; his brother John N. Hatch (Marge) of Corpus Christi, TX; his nephews, Michael Andrew Clark (Connie) and David Gordon Clark (Alisa); and his children, Noah, Annalise and Grant of Arlington, TX..

David was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in November 2006, and then diagnosed with Dementia in 2016.
