He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Leonard and Ina Jane Thompson (Hughes); his former wife Anita Thompson; his daughter Cathy Thompson O'Brien; and his brother Wilford Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Lula Thompson; and his children, Linda Scott, Christine Bryant, Tish Durham and Lance Lee. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
