He was predeceased by: his former wife Ruth; his children, Billy Joe Reed and Gloria Gibbs; and his sister Billie Kidd. He is survived by: his wife Jane Waters Reed; and his daughters, Janice Martin of Prairie Grove and Carlita Drennan of Fredericksburg, Virginia. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
