She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Benjamin and Esther Pauline Bates (Weigant); her husband Doug Blum; and her siblings, Donald Ray Bates, Harold Dorwin Bates, Mary Bates, Charlotte Roach and Avona Lea Chastain.
She is survived by: her son Bradley Patterson; her grandchildren, Chris Patterson and Kenneth Patterson; her great grandchildren, Kenneth Jr., Lydia Ada and Rylie; and her siblings, Joseph Glenn Bates, David Lynn Bates and Patricia Groce. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
