He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Sheppard and Claircy Phillips Jones. He is survived by: his children, Tessa Jones Fitzhugh (Nathan) of Midland, Texas, Chris White (Niki) of Malvern, Aaron White (Ashley) of Benton and Ben Roberts of Glen Rose; his sister Gay Phillips-Jones of Hilo, Hawaii; his grandchildren, Tessa Grace Fitzhugh, Elli White, Addi White, Allison White, Anna Barnard (Kevin), Luke White, Sam Burdess, Charlie Grace Burdess, Miles White and Vaughn Roberts; and his nephew Saul Furstenwerth. He is also survived by other great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Poyen Missionary Baptist Church or Poyen Cemetery.
