He was predeceased by: his father Reverend Jimmy Watson. He is survived by: his mother Emily Ruth; his wife Rita; his children, Erik Watson and Krista Moore (Stephen); his grandchildren, Caleb Watson (Annagrace), Sydney and Aubrey Moore; his siblings, James Watson (Bonnie), Matthew Watson (Sandra), Obie Watson (Janette) and Cassie Price; and his brother-in-law Gary Edwards (Jeannie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials to be made to the Poyen Veterans Memorial Committee, 40 Walker Lane, Poyen, AR 72128.
