He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Raymond "Buster" Croom and Gladys Mardell Colbert Croom; his stepfather David Woodson; and his brothers, Willie Ray Croom and Billy James Croom.
He is survived by: his wife Kristi Rush Croom; his children, Michael Croom, II (Shannon) of Smithville, Rachael Netrefa (Robbie) of Smithville and Rheadawn Culver of Jonesbroro; his siblings, Teresa Scott of Walnut Ridge, Tywana Wiles of Charleston, IL and Raymond Croom of Jonsesboro; his sister-in-law Loretta Croom of Powhatan; his stepsiblings, Dallas Woodson and Melanie Woodson; his stepchildren, Heather Melson and Skyler Alexander; and his grandchildren, Houston, Zander, Scout, Ryker, Izabelle, Rylee, Gabby, Brayden, Ethan "Buster", Bryce, Peyton and John Martin.
