It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donnie Lynn Barnes of Powhatan, Arkansas, born in Joiner, Arkansas, who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Willie Barnes and Aubrey Barnes (Goldman); his sister Barbara Jean Wyatt; and his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Vanvickle and Butler.
He is survived by : his wife Vivian Barnes (Harston) of Keiser, Arkansas; his sons, Kevin Barnes of Paragould, Arkansas and Randy Barnes of Paragould, Arkansas; His one & only daughter, Courtney Starling of Hull, Georgia; Chad & Cody Starling, of Georgia; and his siblings, Billy Barnes of Blytheville, Arkansas, Peggy Butler of Powhatan, Gloria Ann Vanvickle of Crawfordsville and Janet Harston (Billy) of Powhatan. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren. Courtney, made a huge impact in his life & loved him endlessly, her daughters showed him what love is. He loved Janie, He always spoke of Danny Starling as a true friend, & despite marrying Janie after they divorced, they reunited years later and he was a vessel in his life. He always said, Danny is a good man. He loved fishing, dumpster diving (lol), those Arkansas Razorbacks, his friendship with his sons mother Vickie was important to him, the had a special bond. He was just a good ole' country boy.
