He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Sorey and Eva Lee Young Wade; and his brother Jimmy Dale Sorey. He is survived by: his wife Laura Sorey; his daughter Christie Carpenter (Vince); his stepsons, Billy Benson (Lori) and James Benson (Marci); his grandchildren, Tristan Carpenter, Ashleigh Benson, Addelyn Benson, Jack Benson, Brady Benson and Avery Benson; and his siblings, Gary Sorey, Curtis Sorey and Mary Ann Reed. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
