He was predeceased by: his wife Gracie Lee Hefley Rutledge; his children, David Rutledge and Freida Cunningham Scroggins; his parents, William M. Rutledge and Ara Beth Armstrong Rutledge; and his siblings, Elizabeth Hamilton, Repter Tippen, Leola Davis and W. A. Rutledge.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Hill of Maumelle, William Bruce Rutledge (Joy) of Florence, George Rutledge (Brenda) of Portland and John Paul Rutledge (Vicki) of Maumelle. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
