With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vada Josephine Davis of Pocahontas, Arkansas, born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, who passed away on December 6, 2020 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Neece and Vada Moore Neece; her husband D. Davis; her children, Duke Davis and Peggy Gipson; and her great grandchild Blaine Davis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dottie Cook (Rick) of Pocahontas and Kay Richardson (Paul) of Jonesboro; her grandchildren, Ed Gipson of Florida, Shane Davis of Springfield, MO, Billy Davis of Pocahontas, Tammy Haynes of Springfield, MO, Mindy Jones of Jonesboro, Melody Lopez of Batesville, Tiffany Rogers of Pocahontas, Megan Breckenridge of Pocahontas and Brianne Herrera of Jonesboro; and her siblings, Elisha Neece of Pocahontas and Ruby Rainbolt of Eminence, MO. She is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
