He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Sheets and Bertha Hillis Sheets; his wife Anna Sheets; his siblings, Dorothy Montgomery, Betty Newland, Paulene Thompson (Enoch), Glenda Garris, Janet Gregory, Ed Sheets and George Sheets; and his granddaughter Holli Caughern.

He is survived by: his children, Terrie Hogue (Ed) of Greenbriar, Doug Sheets (Tammy) of Pocahontas and Kelly Sheets of Pocahontas; and his grandchildren, Ryan Sheets, Cristy Marshel, Alex Crocker, Sydney Guthrie, Ethan Sheets, Rachel Bradford, Lorraine Baltz, Sarah Duke and Jason Couch. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren; many other family and friends.
