She was predeceased by: her husband Bill Fort; and her son David Fort. She is survived by: her sons, Rick Fort (Terri) of Pocahontas and Skip Fort of Pocahontas; her grandchildren, Christopher Fort (Jeannie) of Pocahontas, Jamie Brown (Liz) of Pocahontas, B. J. and Caylin Fort of Bono; her great grandchildren, Landon of Pocahontas, Chloe of Pocahontas, Sophie Fort of Pocahontas, Colton of Pocahontas, Mazie Brown of Pocahontas, Ellie of Pocahontas and Lynlie Fort of Pocahontas; and her siblings, Wayne Jacobs (Sue) of Bristol, Clydena Haire (Bill) of Locust Grove, Georgia, Roger Jacobs (Pat) of Rogers, Gail Arnold (Don) of Walnut Ridge, Terry Neeley (Jim) of Gate City, Virginia, Barbara Farrister (Troy) of Rogers, Ronnie Jacobs (Sherry) of Walnut Ridge and Donnie Jacobs (Becky) of Walnut Ridge. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
