He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mathews and Lucille Reed Mathews; his daughter Sonja Thielemier; his brother Warren Mathews; and his parents-in-law, Gene and Vera Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Mathews; his grandchildren, Mat, Shauna Anderson, Dillon, Aley Cagle, Trevor, Michaela Anderson, Jeff, Valerie Thielemier and Darrin Thielemier; his son-in-law Scott Thielemier; and his sister Ginger Swindle. He is also survived by many great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
