He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas L. Grooms and Christine Wallace Grooms; his wife Sylvia Mae Grooms; his sons, Doug Grooms, Jerry Roberts, Floyd Roberts and Michael Roberts; his brothers, Richard Grooms and James Grooms; and his grandsons, Raymond Roberts and Kenneth Whatney.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Grooms (Debbie) of Pocahontas, Bobby Roberts of Pocahontas, Kathy Donovan (John) of Utah and Barbara Roberts of Mississippi; his sisters, Jeannie Glisson (Bill) of Maynard and Robin Dodson of Pocahontas; and his grandchildren, Michael of Casey, AJ, Tiffany, Alec, Nicole, Kerrie and Robbie. He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
