It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Evelyn McClanahan of Pocahontas, Arkansas, born in Black Rock, Arkansas, who passed away on June 19, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Smith Tillotson and William W. Smith; her husband Doyle McClanahan; and her siblings, Jimmie V. Smith and Betty Gayle McFaddin.
She is survived by: her son Ron McClanahan (Mary Ann) of Conway; her grandchildren, Frienda G Murphy of Pocahontas, Melissa Hall (Chris) of Pocahontas, Ron Murphy of Crossville, TN, Mike Murphy (Vicki) of Pocahontas, Mark Murphy of Pocahontas, Andrew Murphy (Christina) of Imboden and Amy Foster (Ryan) of Atlanta, TX.; and her great grandchildren, Graydon Carter of Conway, Brooks Carter of Rolla, MO, Harrison Carter of Pocahontas, Katie Golliver (Austin) of Maynard, Joey Murphy, Chelsea Troxel (Jackson) of Jonesboro, Ashton, Adlee Holderbaugh of Atlanta, TX, Levi, Aiden, Dylan and Baylee Murphy of Imboden.
