He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Franklin and Myrtle Mae Kissling Murphy; his wives, Janice Pratt Murphy and Marie Simpson Cagle Murphy; his children, Michael Murphy, Dana Hone and Denise Murphy; and his siblings, Harold, Ruth Cavenaugh, Marie Turner and Joy Seagraves.
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Bowman (Gary) of Ballwin, MO; his siblings, Betty Cates, Beatrice Dawson, Howard Murphy, Jerry Murphy and Darrell Murphy; and his brother-in-law Bruce Pratt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
