She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Pettigrew and Willie Pettigrew (Luter); her husband Kenneth L. Grist; her son Clarence W. Grist; and her grandson Gregory Grist.
She is survived by: her son Richard Grist (Karen) of Royse City, TX. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
