He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Veto; his wife Patricia Lomas Veto; his brother Michael Veto; his sons-in-law, James Ezzo, David Golden and Dan Tracey; and his great grandchild Nathaniel Ezzo.
He is survived by: his children, Rosemary Maddox (Ace) of Kansas City, Anna Marie Ezzo of Dallas, Mary Golden of Jonesboro, Patricia Tracey of Boynton, Maureen Slater (Robert) of Kansas City and Joseph Veto (Mary) of Niagara Falls. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
