It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doyle Evans Athy of Pocahontas, Arkansas, born in Maynard, Arkansas, who passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Horace Eugene and Lora Fern Evans Athy; his daughters, Karen Chrisman of Porter, TX and Melody DeJournette of Sedgwick, AR; his grandchildren, Anna Phillips, Todd Chrisman (Tracy), Kyle Chrisman (Gaby) and Kim Goains (Paul); and his great grandchildren, Jayden, Krenn, Abbygail Moore, Ty, Bryce, Tobi, Kaitlyn, Garret Chrisman, Elizabeth, Freddrick and Daniel Goains.
To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
