Douglas Wayne Gibson Obituary

Douglas Wayne Gibson, 57, of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on November 28, 2022. He was born on November 28, 1965 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Larry Gibson and Delores Oswald. Douglas was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys in all sports. He enjoyed fishing, playing darts, playing bingo, watching "Little Brick Church" services on Facebook, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include; one brother: Larry Don Gibson; one nephew: Aaron Gibson (Tina); one niece: Brittany Gibson; two aunts: Shirley Gibson and Donna Cope (Mike); three uncles: Ray Gibson, Henry Oswald (Lisa), and Phil Gibson (Becky); five cousins: Justin McQuay (Sherise), Ricky Oswald (Kim), Vickie Timms (Ricky), Courtney Gibson (Timothy Phillips), and Timothy Gibson (Tonya); and a host of other family and friends.

Douglas is preceded in death by; his parents: Larry Gibson and Delores Oswald; grandparents: Evelyn Oswald and John Henry; and his grandmother: Lucille Gibson.

Pallbearers: Aaron Gibson, Justin McQuay, Ricky Oswald, Henry Oswald, Timothy Phillips, and Mike Cope.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas with Bro. Terry Vaughn officiating.
