He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McElhaney and Joyce Pence McElhaney. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Gifford McElhaney; his children, Jared McElhaney of Texas, James Gifford (Terri Jo) of O'kean, Isam Gifford (Katherine) of O'kean, John Paul Alred (Angela) of Black Rock, Noah Conour of Mattoon, Illinois and Elizabeth Conour (Tom) of Mattoon, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Scarlett, Jonathan, Jamie Jo Lynn, Jordan, Annabelle, Tommy, Landon, Nova, Christopher, Gabriel, Faith Hope and Emma Grace.
