He was predeceased by: his parents, George Arvin and Alethalcome Webb Matthews; and his wife Nancy Joy Matthews. He is survived by: his children, Gregory Matthews (Diane) of Jonesboro, Belinda Matthews of Marked Tree, Christopher Matthews of Paris and Danica Matthews of Mansfield, Texas. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
