He was predeceased by: his father Albert Rex; his wife Glenda; his siblings, Howard, Ralph Rice and Beulah Rice; his granddaughter Sara Johnson; his stepfather Chacy Eveland; and his stepsiblings, Sol, Randy Eveland, Darlene Paulsen and Phyllis Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Rice of Newport News, VA, Vicky Mitchell of Imboden and Brenda Dennis of Pocahontas; his brother Roger Eveland of Pocahontas; and his grandchildren, Gary, Brandon, Rachel, Samantha, Rebecca, Carla and Madison.
