She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Wilkins and Idella Jones; her husband Matthew "Buster" Mitchell, Sr.; and her sons, Matthew Mitchell, Jr., Curtis Ray Mitchell and Darren Keith Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Willie Lee Mitchell, Rosemary L. Whitfield, Dorthy Ingraham, Idella Johnson, Dolores Green, Barbara Mitchell, Karon Reynolds, Lorene Smith, Danny Harvey Mitchell, Tommie Joe Mitchell and Cynthia Mitchell. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
