He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Armentha Craig Noble, Henry Eason, David and Bernice Simmons, Sr.. He is survived by: his parents, David Simmons, and Roma Simmons, Jr. of Pine Bluff, AR.; his wife Shaundra Simmons of Richmond; his sister Lynn Burnett (Joe) of Las Vegas; and his children, Nicholas Simmons of New York, Timothy Simmons, Christopher Simmons of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Stephen Rodgers of Fayetteville, Ashley Simmons, Brandi Rodgers of Conway and Zsaria'h Simmons.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home (2704 Commerce Cir, Pine Bluff, AR 71601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church (2101 W Reeker Ave, Pine Bluff, AR 71601).
