Harold Voylee Burdin Obituary

Harold Voylee Burdin, age 83, of Piggott, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas. Harold was born on February 11, 1940 to the late James Estel Burdin and Mabel (Marlar) Burdin in Rector, Arkansas.

Harold served his country in the United States Army from 1961 – 1964 and was one of his greatest achievements.

Harold worked many years at Monroe Automotive in Paragould, Arkansas before retiring, he was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord. He was a loving husband, father, pawpaw, and friend. He will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

He leaves behind his; loving wife of 62 years: Jerris Burdin of the home; one daughter: Felicia Hartsfield (Billy) of Paragould, Arkansas; two grandsons: Hayden Hartsfield of Marmaduke, Arkansas and Holden Hartsfield of Paragould, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends.

Harold was preceded in death by; his parents; and his siblings: Larry Clifford Burdin, Loyd Burdin, Floyd Burdin, Mick Hasten, Lillie Owens, Gerald Burdin, and Paulette Whitt.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerrod Lowe officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Nimmons Cemetery in Nimmons, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

Honored to service as pallbearers will be: Hayden Hartsfield, Holden Hartsfield, Austin Hartsfield, Ricky Wyss, Scott Kappleman, and Steve Wright.
