He is survived by: his wife Virginia Gann Slater; his sons, Robert Slater, Roger Slater and Richard Crabtrey; and his grandchildren, Sarah Miletta, Bobby Slater Jr., Brett Slater, Janel McDonald, Juke Slater, Spencer Slater, Jessica Schwemley, Emily Slater, Garrett Slater, Calvin LehrBass, Alicia Mahaffey and Asa Mahaffey. He is also survived by Thirteen great-grandchildren.
