He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fuller Hawkins and Bessie Williams Hawkins; his former wife Dorothy Belle Hawkins; his stepdaughter Sharon Hall; and his grandchildren, Melodie Colon and Anthony Clifton Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Lovie Edmonson Hawkins of Perryville; his daughters, Rolanda Brooks (Keith) of Flint, Lynnette Colon (Ken) of Grand Blanc and DeLisa Woolfolk (Darryl) of Alexandria, Virginia; and his stepchildren, Milton Freeman (Donna) of Perryville, Terri Holland (Elvin) of Greenbrier and Trena Gault (Jeff) of Melbourne, Florida. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty- three great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
