He is survived by: his children, John Gregory Welch, Ursula Renee Welch Easterling and Wendell Scott Welch; his granddaughter Jessica Renee Eastman; his nephews, James Walter Eads Jr. and Rodger Dale Eads; and his niece Laura Jane Welch.
