He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Chandler and Georgia Chandler; his former wife Emma Dean Castleberry Chandler; and his stepson Bill Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Ann; his children, Rick (Sheree), Jeff, Mike Chandler, Tanya Autry (Russell), Marcie Aldridge (David) and Tina Chandler; his pet Oreo; and his grandchildren, Jake, Eric and Jadyn. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
