He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Eugene Burks and Opal Marie Tankersley Burks; his former wife Aline Burks; his son-in-law Mike Ashley; his sisters, Thelma Tucker and Lavern Mann Ragsdale; and his brothers-in-law, Clyde Tucker, Don Mann, Willard Ragsdale and Jay Sanders.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Tankersley Burks of Pearcy; his sons, Ron (Sandra Burks), Fred (Reymi Burks) and Tom Burks of Hot Springs; his stepsons, Rick Suit of Pearcy and Greg; his daughter Judith Ashley of Malvern; his stepdaughter Cindy (Paul Calcagno) of Hot Springs; his grandchildren, Misty, Richard Roach of Hot Springs, Vicky, Wayne Baldwin of Malvern, Sheena Snyder (Tad), Tedi Burks, Tara Burks of Lakewood, Craig, Lauren Burks of Virginia, Bobby, Brandi Snyder of Hot Springs, Travis Burks of Lakewood and Ben Burks of Hot Springs; his brother Royce; his sister-in-law Ruth Burks of Hot Springs; his sister Dorthy Sanders of Hot Springs; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Skyler James of Hot Springs, Ethan, Justin, Elizabeth Lininger of Malvern, Kalayah, Kinsleigh Lunsford of Malvern, Kalie Baldwin of Malvern, Nevaeh Snyder of Hot Springs, Henry Burks of Virginia, Aubree, Hazel, Rose and Lorelei Burks of Lakewood, California. He is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren; 29 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, extended family.
