He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Burton, Sr. and Virginia Beryl Stockton; his wife May Ann Burton; his son Jimmy Burton; and his brother Robert H. "Bobby" Burton, Jr..
He is survived by: his son Michael Burton (Tina) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; and his sister Donna White of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
