He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lathrop Spivey; his children, Sherry S. Guarisco (Anthony) of Baton Rouge, Mark Spivey (Ellen) of Lexington, KY, Duane Spivey (Karen) of Grayslake and Susan S. Young (Michael) of Tullahoma, TN.; his siblings, Nelwyn Lowe of Tyler, TX, Mary Helen Smith (Jerry) of Ennis, TX, Winston Spivey (Pat) of Albany, OR, Marie Bailey of Haynesville, LA and Linda Lowry of Oklahoma City, OK; his brother-in-law Edwin Rushing of Shreveport, LA.; his stepchildren, Kim Lathrop Kirby (Jeff) and Chris Lathrop; his grandchildren, David Miller and Stephanie Miller Smith (Greg); and his great grandchildren, Austin Miller and Cade Miller.
