Orvel Lee Gibson Obituary

Orvel Lee Gibson, 79, of Paragould, Arkansas passed away on April 16, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born on October 14, 1945 in Paragould, Arkansas to Verge and Mabel (White) Gibson. Orvel was a member of the Brighton Community Church. He was a pianist and enjoyed singing at church. His greatest treasure was his family, which he loved dearly.

Survivors include; five children: Christine Holland, Teresa Towell, Daniel Gibson, Carolyn Arnett, Victoria Sneed; three sisters: Bertha Riley, Beth Exler, Judy Utley; one brother: David White; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by; his parents: Verge and Mabel (White) Gibson; five sisters: Velta McMisky, Mary Fisher, Violet Roe, Delce Norman, Osie Fortenberry; and three brothers: Leonard Gibson, Bobby Gibson, Ira Gibson.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould, Arkansas with Bro. David White officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
