He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Franks and Gladys Lamb Franks; and his siblings, Charles, Rex, Gene, Roy, Bobby, Weldon, Charles-Kelly, Lavedna and Linda.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Lady Franks of Paragould; his children, Gaye Smith and Bryan Franks (Vivian); his grandchildren, Austin Smith, Natalie Harrell (Logan), Tyler Franks, Preslee Sharpe, Haley Doman, Jordan Doman and Reese Doman; and his great grandchildren, Heidi and Bennett Harrell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
