He was predeceased by: his mother Paula Vangilder; and his grandparents, Arlie B., Lili Vangilder, Harold and Gloyce Dills.

He is survived by: his father Bill Vangilder (Sandra); his children, Levi Vangilder, Reid Vangilder, Lili Vangilder and Makinzy Vangilder; his brother Michael Ray Vangilder; and his stepsisters, Melissa Lands, Shannon Hovis and Ashley Robinson.
