She was predeceased by: her parents, James Monroe and Ollie Mae Hooten; her great grandchildren, Alyzabeth Tompkins and Justin Gilbee; her brothers, Hubert and Lewis Hooten; her sister-in-law Ruby Hooten; her nephews, James, George and Steve Hooten; and her niece Rita Kennedy.
She is survived by: her husband Wendell Barnes of Paragould; her daughters, Brenda Hargrove Latimer (Keven) of Piggott, Glenda Hargrove Lawson of Rector, Linda Brown of Paragould and Lisa Cook (Bob) of Paragould; her stepson David Nelson of Paragould; her grandchildren, Chad Tompkins, David Tompkins (Tara), Michael Hargrove (Jennifer), Toni Barnes and Chris Stallings (Cassidy); her great grandchild Ryan Tompkins; and her sister-in-law Jean Kemper of Kennett. She is also survived by great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
