He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Elkins and Geneva Elkins; his former wife Carolyn Elkins; his daughters, Jeri Carol and Robin; and his siblings, Mary Lou Richardson, Shirley Brimingham, Barbara Burson and Ira Elkins.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Elkins; his children, Dana Wright and Brad Elkins; his stepson David Carr; his brother Ted Elkins; and his grandchildren, Delaney, Tosha, Cayson, Jacob, Jessica, Jaden, Lucian and Eli.
