He is survived by: his wife Glenda Betts; his children, Jennie Southard, Richard Allan Betts, Sr., Darrea Ford, Amanda, Chad Pillow and Jesse Colton Ford; his siblings, Linda Johnson, Michael Betts and Shevella Mossinger; his grandchildren, Linda Sue Cook, Michael Steven Betts, Ricky Betts, Jake Betts, Brody Betts, Jessica Betts, Brian Ford, Kaylee Cook, Kameron Cook, Phoebe Newman (Zach), Laci Cook, Ava Ford, Karson Betts and Sunshine Pillow; and his great grandchildren, P. J. Baggett, River Ford, Dusty Betts, Jude Betts, Delilia Betts and Sawyer Newman.
