It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Lorene Bateman of Paragould, Arkansas, who passed away on August 7, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Sackett and Zelma Sackett; her husband Herschel Bateman; and her children, Karen Maxwell, Paul Bateman, Jack Bateman, Gaylon Bateman, Michael Bateman and Jenny Bateman.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Bateman; and her grandchildren, Crista Malone, Rob Maxwell (Michelle), Phillip Bateman, Wendie Woodmansee (Jason), Jackie Butts (Shana), Jennifer Baskin (Terry), Michael Bateman, Beverly Carr (Brian) and Karen Hosier (Corbyn Aswell). She is also survived by numerous great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
