She was predeceased by: her parents, Adam Gibson and Belle Gibson; her husbands, Cleo Basel Thrasher and Bill Norman Hayes; her son Rudy Thrasher; her siblings, Emma Graves, Goldie Hobbs, George Gipson, John "Tot" Gipson, Cecil Gipson, Clarence Gipson, Pauline Abbey, Laverne Shaw and Sarah Bernice McCord; her son-in-law Jerry Hayes; and her grandchildren, Kelly Thrasher, Margaret Grooms, Darrell Thrasher and Terry Blevins.
She is survived by: her children, Lavinia Holt (Preston), Gary Thrasher (Isador), Kenneth Thrasher (JoEtta), Carolyn Hayes and Teresa Hayes (Phillip); her stepchildren, Shelby O'Dell, Lucille Jackson, Joel Hayes, Richard Hayes, Becky Byram, Phillip Hayes, Gwenda Tipton and Bill Hayes; and her close friend Bonnie Foster. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and 44 great-great-grandchildren.
