He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar Dawson and Jewel Marie Dawson (Rasberry); his wife Glenda Sue Dawson (Wood); and his brother Avery Gene Smith. He is survived by: his children, David Dawson (Kathy), Teresa Clark (Mark) and Penny Kennett (Tommy John); and his grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Tommy Kennett (Nicole), Chris Kennett (Amanda), Joshua Clark (Katie), Adam Clark (Kami), Mary Katherine Nichols (T. J.) and Zachary Dawson (Jenna). He is also survived by Twelve great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to First Baptist Church, 120 N. 3rd St., Paragould, AR 72450.
