We bid farewell to Derek Camersoon Godfrey (Paragould, Arkansas), born in Memphis, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 12, 2025 at the age of 37. Derek touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Kenneth, Norma Hillen, Bill and Glenda Godfrey; and his uncle Johnny Hillen.
He is survived by: his parents, Regina Cox (Rodney) and Bill Godfrey Jr.; his siblings, Brian Godfrey (Lonnie Dillard), Dustin Godfrey (Betty), Crystal Godfrey, Chassity Rathke (Brad) and Kristina Cox (Jesse Woods); his nieces and nephews, Logan Warner, Kileigh Warner, Anistyn Hadley, Vicki Lynn, Sarah, Paige, James, Jep, Barry Allen, Carlee and Lillian; his close friend Vonnie Greer; and his friend Wesley Hathcoat. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (4904 W Kingshighway, Paragould, AR 72450). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church (366 S Maple St, Lafe, AR 72436).
