He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shewbuirt and Bessie Farmer Shewbuirt; his daughter Stacy McGhee; and his sister Linda Cloninger. He is survived by: his wife Velma Coleman; his son Steve Shewbuirt (Kelly) of Springfield, Missouri; his grandchildren, Erica Spain (Hunter), Korie Bryant, Kendrix Bryant and D. J. Shewbuirt; and his great grandchildren, Samuel Spain, Warren Spain and Abbigail Spain.
