She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Sims and Agnus Sims (McNutt). She is survived by: her husband Doyle M. Newsom Sr.; her children, Mack Newsom (Susan), Paula Newsom and Cindy Eckelstafer (Donald); her grandchildren, Brad Bobo (Paige), Kyle Bobo (Kristie), Shannon Lee (Shannon) and Eli Newsom (Tiffany); and her sister Martha Shipp. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her memory to Walcott Baptist Church, or the Children's Homes, Inc.
