She is survived by: her husband Porter Nichols; her son John Mitchell, Sr.; her grandsons, Angelo Mitchell, John Mitchell, Jr. and Patrick Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Caitlynn Robbins and McKenzie Hinderer; and her nieces, Maria Digirolamo and Elizabeth Digirolamo Fiore.
