It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Jackson (Palestine, Arkansas), who passed away on December 19, 2018, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Leroy Jackson and Mary Ann Howerton Jackson; his spouse Mary Louise Meyers; his children, Roy Jackson (Debbie) of Forrest City, Robert Jackson of Palestine, Ann Mansel of Forrest City, Peggy McClurg (Ricky) of Gill and Glenda Anderson (Tony) of Perry; his brother James Jackson of McCrory; his daughters-in-law, Bea Jackson of Forrest City and Michelle Jackson of Cleveland; his sons, Arthur, Butch and Milton Jackson; his siblings, Lille Mae Nold, Louise Myers, Joan Parrish and Everett Jackson; and his son-in-law Roger Mansel. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.
